Why Saying "Please" and "Thank You" is Essential for our Future Prosperity

The article below from Huffington Post lists some courtesies and thoughtful behaviors that seem to be less common these days. +Lee Brower has developed a concept called the "4 Levels of Gratitude" of which "Social" Gratitude (i.e., common courtesies such as saying "please" and "thank you", as well as some of the behaviors on the Huffington Post list) is an important foundation. I recently told a group that I believe that Social Gratitude is the foundation of a civil society and a better world because, when genuinely expressed, it represents an outward demonstration of respect for another person.
