When You Hear the Word “Tears”, What Comes to Mind?

By Ron Nakamoto

Sometimes, life seems to be coming at us way too fast.

“TEARs” could represent the emotions that go with experiences – some negative, some positive – and the learning that can result from experiences.

But this was a trick question.  We use T.E.A.R.s as an acronym for time, energy, attention, and resources.  These are things that we waste or sub-optimize when we’re mired in complexity, worry, and unproductive activities, as often happens when life comes at us too fast.  What if we could make effective use of our time, focus our energy and attention on what matters most, and optimize our resources to support our efforts?  Wouldn’t things then become simpler?  Wouldn’t our capabilities expand?
