"…the things that lead to true happiness, satisfaction, and fulfillment usually…

By Ron Nakamoto

"…the things that lead to true happiness, satisfaction, and fulfillment usually can’t be bought" – Mr. 4HWD

In the blog post below, Mr. 4HWD advocates wanting less as a way to feel wealthier.  Two of his suggestions – practice Gratitude and "find joy in more than material goods" – are aligned with the Empowered Wealth Mindset.   What's lacking in this post, however, is "how" to practice and "how" to find joy in more than material goods.

This is where being aware of four levels of Gratitude and the reminder to "Begin in Gratitude" can be very useful habits and routines.  It is one thing to "appreciate" the things we have; it's another to contribute generously without expecting anything in return.

It is also one thing to "appreciate" non-material things; it's another thing to really internalize the world view that there are core, experience, contribution, and financial assets that in the aggregate, constitute "true wealth".  Conceptualizing and planning for a bigger future in terms of "true wealth" is not only the "how" to find more joy but also the "why".
