These days, we all seem to deal with high levels of sensory distraction. Even more so, though, we deal with what Daniel Goleman identifies as the greater form of distraction Emotional Distractions.
Here's how he copes with distractions:
"…as a writer, my job comes down to producing a certain amount of useful text regularly. So my daily routine starts with a cup of tea, breakfast with my wife, and then a meditation session where I gather my focus. Then I write." – Daniel Goleman
My observation is that for Goleman, daily morning habits that include meditation result in focus. What about for you?
