It’s the thought that counts

By Ron Nakamoto

I never liked how the phrase dismisses gift-givers under the pretense of appreciation or even forgiveness – Andrew Scott

This blog post is about giving but it could easily be viewed as an exploration of love and gratitude as well.  Andrew Scott tells his personal story about how thoughtfulness matters.

"I don’t remember many of the gifts I’ve received over the last decade. The ones I do were truly thoughtful gifts—the person thought about what I like and who I am."

He ends with an example of what we would call "Empowered Gratitude", giving without expectation of return…giving out of love.
