“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance”
– Eckhart Tolle
It’s likely that Lee Brower became a guru and life coach to many people when the movie “The Secret” came out. One of the most popular segments of the movie featured Lee telling the story of his Gratitude Rock. In this video, Lee shares not only retells his story but he also shares some of the impact Gratitude Rocks have had in other people’s lives.
Since “The Secret” came out a decade ago, Lee Brower has been studying Gratitude and refining his Gratitude practice. One of several innovations that he and Empowered Wealth have developed recently is a method of addressing “Gratitude fatigue”. Gratitude fatigue is a term coined by Dr. Robert Emmons, the preeminent Gratitude researcher. Dr. Emmons noted that people who regularly write down or talk about the things they’re grateful for, over time tend to repeat themselves. He called this “Gratitude fatigue”. To counter this, Lee Brower and Empowered Wealth use the acronym P.O.T.E.N.T., which stands for “People, Opportunities, Things, Experiences, Nature, and Thoughts (or ideas, like “peace” or “serenity”)”.
Why don’t you try it yourself? What “People, Opportunities, Things, Experiences, Nature, and Thoughts” are you grateful for?
